Find out when your bus will arrive
INFOBLUE system (bus arrival time information by Bluetooth) is installed on 20 bus stops without electronic boards. The users of these stops could know the bus arrival times by SMS o through website, and from now on they will be able to know also the bus arrival times by the Bluetooth systems of the mobile phones.
The operation is very easy and is enough to locate around the bus stop with the Bluetooth device of the mobile phone activated and visible. Shortly after the mobile phone will receive a message from the INFOBLUE device with the bus arrival time updated information. Periodically, around the bus stop, the mobile phone will continue receiving messages with the updated information.
The system can be used by all the mobile phones equipped with the Bluetooth device.
San Sebastian is one of the first cities in Europe offering this information system to users.

This new initiative is in line with the improvement measures of the passenger information systems inside the CIVITAS Project.
The start up has been possible thanks to the technological development carried out by the company PROINTEC, leader in technological systems in the passenger transport sector.
The bus stops with the INFOBLUE system are the following:
All the bus stops with INFOBLUE system are perfectly identified and have the instructions to operate with the mobile phones, so that they can receive the bus arrival times.
The system can be used through any mobile phone, except the iPhones because they are not provided with an “open” Bluetooth system to the rest of the mobile phones.
All DONOSTIABUS users can find out when their bus will arrive by sending a simple SMS message.
This new information system for users completes the IT system established in the Donostiabus stops. There are currently 82 electronic panels working at the main stops of all lines. With this new SMS information system the current system is supplemented and improved extending it to all the stops in the city and all DONOSTIABUS users.
Through this new system, the user does not need to be in the actual stop, they can request the information from any location via their mobile phones by knowing the code of the stop.
This new initiative is part of the ambitious technology update project that CTSS is carrying out to use of new technologies to improve services, to improve information for users and to do its bit for the environment with the new buses added to its fleet.
1. How the service works
To use the service, the user must send a SMS to 217377 stating the code of the stop and within seconds they will receive a message with the estimated time of arrival of the buses at the requested stop.
The user can send the message in Basque or Spanish with the following text:
In Basque: "DBUSAespacioCODIGOPARADA"
In Spanish "DBUSspaceCODEOFSTOP"
The reply will be in the language the user sent the message in.
In the reply in Spanish the user will receive the text Servicio ofrecido por Caja Laboral (Service brought to you by the Caja Laboral savings bank) or something similar.
In the reply in Basque the user will receive the text Euskadiko Kutxak eskeinitako zerbitzua (Service brought to you by the Caja Laboral savings bank) or something similar
The codes of the stops are indicated on each of the 488 Donostiabus stops, both on the bus shelters and bus stops. Each stop also contains instructions explaining how the service works.
In the reply, the arrival times of the first buses of each line are detailed, distinguishing the different routes.
As an example, by sending the message “DBUS 35” to 217377, using the stop code 35, you would receive the following information on the Hotel Londres stop:

The only cost for the user is the cost to send the message (€0.15 + VAT). The reply containing the information on the arrival times of buses is free of charge. The service is brought to users by the Caja Laboral savings bank.
The user may use the service from mobiles from all operators on the market from the specified date.
CTSS provides the SMS information service to users under the terms and conditions detailed in this document and therefore the users contract the service with CTSS.
